Problem

In certain scenarios, a deletion flag is set on a primary object but not applied to all linked or dependent objects.

This causes:

  • Inconsistent data across applications or views

  • Missing or incorrect relationships between records

  • Navigation issues (e.g., drill-downs or links not working)

  • Objects appearing active although they should be logically deleted

Root cause:
The system does not fully propagate the deletion flag to all dependent objects.

Solution Steps

Follow these steps to correct the issue:

  1. Import the provided transport request into the target system

  2. Execute the correction program

Program Execution Details:

  • Transaction: SA38

  • Program Name: ZMSTR_LOEVM_COMPLETION

Transport Request:

  • SPEK980140 – SERRALA ZMSTR_LOEVM_COMPLETION #1160687

The program identifies missing deletion flags and applies them correctly to all relevant linked objects.

Known Limitations

  • Execute the program only after the transport request has been successfully imported

  • The program is a general correction utility and may affect multiple object relationships

  • It does not prevent future inconsistencies; it only corrects existing data
